Six arrive in Seattle
@SquireBlack, @VRJAKE and I drove up from Portland, stored our bikes and kit in the party house, ate dinner and shopped for groceries. @rccardr and @nlerner flew into Seattle, @Andy_K took a late train.
Doc putting his bike back together. Fenders seem to be foreign to him.
We’re all telling Neal he’s doing it wrong. What are friends for?
It’s late, we’re riding tomorrow, time for bed.

Approximately 60 or so miles (our GPS devices don’t quite agree) through paths and trails, city streets and bridge, rain and the occasional break in the rain. Four of six on vintage bikes: Raleigh Competition, Specialized Sequoia, Ebisu, Davidson, plus a fancy Rivendell and a highly functional Black Mountain Cycles Road. All fitted with fenders, no serious mechanicals.

I-90 Bridge--good choice! Great looking bikes! Summer bikes give way to the be-fendered steeds to carry us through the long, wet, and often dark miles. Also glad you found a port-a-jon when you needed it--nothing worse in an unfamiliar area when that sort of thing is needed but nowhere to be found.

Great first rain ride. Thanks to nlerner for clearing the air! Perhaps 90% on trails around Lake Washington. 60 miles of wet bliss powered by a big burrito for lunch.

Say no more, say no more, except maybe real men carry their own TP, for real emergencies. 🤭😉
It looks chilly there, glad I'm here (although it's definitely cooling off here too).

Thanks for the ride today! Sorry I couldn't make the full loop of Brainbridge; I hope the rest of the course was as good.

Day 2 featured a tour of Seattle landmarks, a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island, and 40 or so miles of up and down around the island (about 3,700 feet of climbing). Plus we were joined by @mhespenheide on his Gugified Bianchi (which may or may not have been celeste, @Andy_K). No rain today and lots of sun. To the pics!
@Northbend leads us to the ferry dock.
Exploring the gum wall at Pike Place Market.
Celeste, @Andy_K?
Some might say a car rescue was involved for some of the riders.

That gum wall is disgusting. 😵 But there are plenty of real ghosts, right in that neighborhood, including Chief Sealth's daughter. 😲😎

Thank you for the report and the pics, guys! Much appreciated here in the old world.
One slight disappointment, though. How un-nekid' can one get?

Too cold for that! But I can tell you that I was nekid under my clothes.
Day 3 was Seattle to Port Townsend via Bainbridge Island. About 62 miles and 3800 ft of climbing. Some light rain in the morning and a fairly strong shower in the early afternoon, but otherwise dry with some occasional sun. We also had our first flats (@northbend and @VRJAKE) and @rccardr had some serious handling problems with his Davidson. Nevertheless, we had a fun day and a terrific fish & chip dinner across from our hotel. To the pics!
Loaded for the three days to Vancouver.
We say goodbye to our Seattle party house.
Northbend fixes a flat.
Bike-to-bike kickstand!
Rest stop in Indianola.
Photo op before pulling into Pt. Townsend—blue sky!

Where were the fish n chips?
I ended up at Serious Fish on Bainbridge for lunch, but you must have made it to PT for yours.
