I want to commute manana. After I pumped the tire up, I managed to bend the valve nut while taking the nozzle off.
I really need to get a different nozzle put on that.
Anyway, I was hoping to commute by bike, is the idea nuts? Pressure seems to be holding.

Valve nut? The ring that screws onto it so it doesn't get pushed into the rim?

as long as the tube is holding air you should be ok. If you are concerned replace the tube. I would replace the tube as you will not be able to put air in.

The nut on the presta valve serves as a valve lock. It keeps vibration from letting a little of the air out on each bump. You will be fine but may have the tire go soft a little faster than normal. When you fill other tubes in the future, don't back off on the nut so much. It's only necessary to unscrew it 12 to 1 turn to let air in.

It'll hold long enough to ride down to the bike shop and get a couple of tubes. Always have a spare so you don't have to wait to hear back from Bikeforums because it's 9:30 at night.
