Years for this Reynolds tubing decal
I've searched and found it is a later version of the 531 decals, but can someone pin down the years it would have been used.
Guessing mid to late 80s

I bought several sets of 531C in 1990-1991 to build a small batch with. That's the decal they came with.
So, entirely possible they were NOS from the late 80's.

i sold electronics to companies in that area. Chatsworth, Moorpark, Simi Vly. Borrowed a bike frequently to ride with a couple of friends. Awesome! or just fond remembering.

Reynolds Decals 1989 +
1989 and later according to H. Lloyd Cycles who was the "authorized" producer for reproduction decals for Reynolds in the UK.

My NOS 1994 Gazelle frame has those decals.
Reynolds 531C (Competition) was the 3rd lightest tube set offered by them at the time. Reynolds 753R (Road) and 532P (Performance) had the same wall thicknesses. Reynolds 531C was slightly heavier but lighter than Columbus SL.
Note: Reynolds 531P was no longer produced as a tube set when this guide was published but the dimensions were generally the same as 753.
Reynolds 531ST (Super Tourist) was the tubing used on the majority of production frames from the late 60's through the early 80's, especially on the Continent. A lot of the smaller producers in the UK used the equivalent of Reynolds 531C to produce lighter more lively frames.
When I was building some frames in the 70's I wrote to Reynolds a number of times requesting replacement decals, both for new bikes that had damaged stickers and for tube sets that came with fragile water slide decals. Eventually I got a snotty letter saying that only "authorized" resprayers had access to replacement decals and they were clearly marked RESPRAY!
Albert Eisentraut was the only authorized resprayer in the US... and he didn't use tubing decals because most of his frames like many other top US builders were a mixture of tubing brands.
Back then I was told by a reliable source, maybe Reynolds??? that over the years they used at least 7 different suppliers for their tubing decals. That's one reason for the variations. Another is that many repro decals are copies of bad copies! One give away is color green which is too dark on many bad repops!
