I was out hiking and turned my phone on on top of a summit and my phone blew up with messages from teammates. Weird thing to be on the phone about deep in the backcountry

Siu told me by FB Messenger about an hour ago. I had been thinking about logging in for the past few weeks but not for this reason.
Goodbye, Pcad. I'll go cheer your Mets on for you if they open Spring Training up to fans at all.

Some of you may remember umd from a few years back. I’m friends with him on FB and he heard about Pcad on my timeline. He is very sad to hear about Pcad and wanted to pass his thoughts along.

Perhaps it helps prevent debate and speculation of the topic.

I've been FB friends with him for a few years. We talked cars, bikes, politics, music, divorce, etc. I looked forward to having someone to hash over the daily news with. I already miss that. I was waiting to hear back from him when I got the bad news. I was wondering why he hadn't posted, i thought maybe he went out of town or something.

Same. When I first started posting when I joined, he was a huge influence and larger than life figure.

Yeah, definitely. When I got tired of all the 41-ness of the 41 and drifted out of foo, I hadn't interacted with him in years, but he definitely played a role in my introduction.

Pcad's passing is really horrible news. He was definitely a force in defining BF in the early days. Early on, his posts were quite informative, then he just began going for humor, which also had its value. He will be missed.

Interesting side note is the number of old posters that it brought out of the wood work.

The fact I have been visiting this corner of the internet for well over a decade makes me feel old...

I'm growing impatient with Aerocoach. They quoted long lead and the time is up. I had to send them a message. If something is long lead a "hey, you're in line and will ship this week" would be nice. Just crickets.

I may sell my powermeter from my cross bike and use that money to blow my load on Drag2Zero instead and just sell the Aerocoach stuff at a loss if it ever comes.

I'm really tired of dealing with this one fit coordinate without these parts.

Well, we bought a car. To be technically correct I suppose we have a written offer and a deposit down while they try and find us the color combo we want. Car sales are way down but we've been putting it off for almost two years, and I just almost doubled my salary, so it seemed like the right time. Tired of seeing my wife's knees crammed into the dash because of the car seat behind her.

Getting a 2020 Odyssey Elite. Never thought we'd buy a new car, and not top trim kind of people, but I'm a sucker for toys and vented seats are just fun.

Now, if we only had somewhere to drive it to.
