This is my comfy daily rider. Everything on it is experimental and likely to be changed, the seat, tires, bars, stem and pedals, etc.

And this is the backup bike to my daily rider. It likely will get a shorter stem soon.

And this is the backup for my backup, for my daily rider. It is a couple pounds heavier than the skinny little Treks. If I could only have one bicycle, any one of these would do just fine.

Is it's a mortal sin to ditch drop bars for upright bars?
Generally yes, and Dante addressed this in his epic novel. But those sinners were imprisoned in the upper levels of hell with the unbaptized and those that mount their front skewer lever on the drive-side, not in the far depths with the blackmailers and the fixie criminals that drew frames.
