There is strong logic which says that front and rear pressures should be roughly the same.

Hey all, I’ve been cycling for some years now and decided to take a statistics course. Part of this course requires a project to compare two groups and I chose to compare tire pressure of road bikes vs. mountain bikes. Hoping I might get a wee bit of help from everyone, if possible, by answering two questions… all of the information will remain anonymous as well.
Do you ride a road bike or mountain bike?

My main commuter, a 2015 Charge Plug 700x35 tires at 85psi.
My more dedicated roadbike, a 1984 NIshiki International 700x28 at 85psi. When I got the bike in 2009, I was running 700x25 at 100psi but it was too flat-prone and uncomfortable for commuting.
My 1997 Nishiki Blazer Utility/"Mountain Bike". 26x1.85 @ 70psi. After trying all sorts of fat, treaded mountain bike tires, hybrid tires and thinner smoother road tires, I settled on 26x1.85 smoothies. In the winter the bike gets 26x1.65 studded snow tires with deep tread and studs. I run them at 60psi for dry pavement, 35psi for ice, and 25psi for thick loose snow.

My bike trailer with 20x1.75 tires gets pumped up to 50psi.

I have a lot of bikes with a lot of tires sizes so average of all (but not the recumbent trike for bad arthritis days):
road - 81.3 psi
mtb - 38.1 psi

Road bike , Tubed tires 25 mm, front 90 - 100 psi, rear 105 - 125 psi all depending on the road surface I'm riding. For my typical route 100 front 115 rear.

Unless you ride your road bike exclusively on the track and/or are riding tires that are way too narrow for your weight, you really should take some time to get up to speed on the research on tire pressure. Riding at lower pressures will probably reduce rolling resistance for you (due to extreme suspension losses at those pressures) as well as much better traction, a much more comfortable ride, and better tire wear.
