Apology and final request before I go
Hi all,
On the morning (UTC+10) of the 12th of this month, I posted some humour images
that I posted to the thread "Funny pictures that made you say DAHELL??". My
standard operating procedure, as not everything I receive, is appropriate for
publication on this site, is to filter out material that likely would not meet
forum guidelines.
I've contributed to this thread prior to this, without incident, but that
morning, for no reason than sloppyness on the part of my own self-moderation,
I failed to omit some images from the publication that did not meet forum
guidelines. This was observed by one or more members of the moderation team
on the BikeForums website and swiftly removed.
To those of whom saw that material, and were offended or upset by any of that
material (or indeed anything I may have posted prior to this), I apologise.
This is my error, and I take full responsibility for my actions.
As a result of my actions, I have been asked to leave, and as per the wishes
of those parties, I will honour their request. From the date of this post
onwards, I cease any and all activities on the BikeForums site including but
not limited to, monitoring of forum threads, private messages, and all posting
activities.
I ask two small favours of the moderation team:
Firstly, I have changed the password (which I will discard) and unsubscribed
from all notifications; could this account that I post this from kindly be
locked to prevent further use or subsequent abuse?
Secondly, as I will not see further replies to this thread, could this thread
be locked? In the unlikely event that another forum member asks about my
demise on this site, they can be pointed here to know the truth of the matter,
there's no requirement that the content of this thread be discussed further.
I thank the BikeForums moderation team for their efforts in keeping this
community active and also thank the community as a whole for putting up with
me over the last few years. I go in peace, let the funnies and other
discussions roll on, in my absence. Those who have further questions, contact
me privately: most search engines will find me on the Internet.
Regards,
Stuart Longland

You were asked to leave that thread, not the forum.
Rebatter, rules say no politics... please leave this thread.

I've been on some sort of forum or another since the 90s. I'm always fascinated by how people respond to moderation. What I like to do to get around being moderated is ride my bikes, occasionally take pictures of them and where I ride so that I can share them, ask questions about bikes and respond to questions about bikes if I think I can be helpful. There are some threads like the wacky eBay and craigslist ads where one can get the goofy out their system if needed.
There is also a thread where if one wishes they can see who was banned or suspended and it is rarely posted in so I think you don't really need to make this dramatic exit. Just take the advice of the moderator that requested you calm down. Cheers

Now,I feel like I need to see those photos.....
Don't sweat it, every goofs occasionally.
I'm a moderator on a tobacco pipe forum. A few weeks ago, a member asked me to delete a picture he posted holding showing pipe (a real pipe, not a euphanism), because in a mirror, it's pretty clear he's not wearing any pants and a member is in the photo.

It took me a while to "unsee" that photo and now, this thread has revived that vile memory. Who thinks: "I need to take a picture of this pipe, and I only have time to put on a shirt, but no pants or even underwear"
