Value of Giant Iguana SE
Hey guys,
I'm selling one of my bikes so I can buy my wife a road bike. I'd like to know what you think I could reasonably price it at to sell, but not screw myself.
It's a Giant Iguana SE, probably from the late 90's. It's got a 21.5 inch butted cromoly frame that is lighter than some of the other alloy bikes I own.
Fork: Manitou Stroker FS Ti 80mm w/rebound adjustment.
Wheels: Ritchey OCR Comp
Hubs: Shimano Deore LX Parallax
Tires: WTB Nanoraptors 2.0
Crankset: Shimano XT
Shifters: Shimano XT 8-speed
Rear Derailleur: Shimano XT
Front Derailleur: Shimano XT
Cassette: Shimano 8-speed 11-32
Brake Levers: Avid SD-1.9L
Front Brake: Avid 20 V-brake
Rear Brake: Shimano V-brake
Saddle: Forte Contour (new)
Stem: Uno 7000
Bars: Nashbar flat bar
Seatpost: No name
The frame and fork are scratched up from riding, but in good shape. The cassette, chain, and chainrings are in good shape. Everything on the bike is in good working order, and is ready to hit the trails. The only thing not working is the gear-indicator for the front derailleur.
I'm thinking $175-200. Is this too high? Would you consider buying it?

BUMP. I put it up for $200 and I'll see how it goes. There are lots of other people peddling much older and crappier bikes for comparable prices. I'll see how it goes I suppose. But seriously, does anyone even like my bike? 30 views and not a single comment?

Hey folks, this thread is from 2009 I am baffled why PNWTimothy created an account to post in a dead thread from 2009 that had zero posts other than the OP and that has been the extent of their posting?
I get some zombie threads sometimes but this just takes the cake. That bike is probably long sold or right back in the OPs collection.

Who do you work for, Trek or Specialized?
"It's more than six months old? Quick! Throw it in the trash before it robs you blind and sleeps with your daughter!"
Keep drinking that Kool Aid. I won't complain about the prices of used bikes being held down by ignorant yahoos.
