Mt Vernon (DC Metro) Trail pacelining idiots...?
Anyone know who these knuckleheads are? It's a mixed group of guys and gals wearing blue and white kit. There are about 30 of them, and they do a group pacelining ride on the Mt Vernon trail--both times I've run into them they were North of Gravely point.
Apparently they consider they trail their trail. Not only is it ridiculously unmanageable an amount of riders to be safe on a six foot wide (if that) trail for other bikers, but there is way too much pedestrian traffic and a few too many blind/narrow areas to do any pacelining, let alone a group that 'freaking huge...

I don't live there anymore, but I used to commute on that trail every day. I would occasionally be passed by a few people pacelining. They never gave any warning. They are the ones who give cyclists a bad name. If you want to paceline, go do it on a road. And yes, I'm a former racer and I like paceline rides. A little consideration would go a long way.
If you can read their kits as they scoot by, it might be worth a call to the shop, although they might be just rude on the phone.

^^^ That's an ugly woman in the middle pic. Probably juiced, too. 
Don't know if it's the same group -- looks like a blue and purple kit, not blue and white like the OP said.
Either way, the trail really is one of the dumbest places to do a paceline. Pass the word around and maybe it'll get back to them. Hopefully they'll decide to stop before someone gets hurt.

I've never had a bad experience with Artemis, actually. I occasionally saw one or two on the trail, but never a paceline group. I can't remember the name on the kits of the guys (mostly if not all were guys), but it was not Artemis.
