Zack Does Snow
For those who have been watching, the high Priest of Wabi is out, riding his F.G. in the snow of MI.
Wow. Nice F.G. action in the White stuff. Anyone else have good shots of themselves riding in the Snow?

Maybe it's the camera, but it looks like he's holding some decent speed through that snow and slush. Wish I had that much confidence in the snow!

My bikes are all hard to ride in the summer because I always have a stud on it...LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Sheldon Brown used to ride a lot in the snow he built some fixed gear MTB type stuff and rode around.
The slush is always the worst but fresh powder isn't as bad compacted stuff is the worst but I imagine actual studs would help more there.

Zero. Many on the list have urged him for years to try F.G. in snow. I'm not sure what changed his mind but I'm glad he did. Now for the real deal, try riding up the High country with Snow. (Above say above,...10k' feet.) Now that's fun!!!

Perfect fixie conditions right there. Back in the '00s, I rode in OH during winters in heavier conditions than that.
btw, studs are stupid heavy and pointless. All you need is like 3 zip ties on the rear wheel and 4 or 5 on the front, brakeless or disc only.

Right Size Tires for Snow.
I'm glad Zack got studs. I've been riding 26+1.2 Studded tires for years. How does that compare to 700C tires? I would think if he got into deep stuff, then he's messed up. Anyone tried 700C in the snow?
