He rides the PMC every year. I took these shots riding the 2011 PMC of the Senator and some other cyclist that has also been in the news lately.

Politics aside, Kerry is fast (especially for a 68 year old): we were the first 4 finishers out of 6000+ that year (me on the right)

Impressive indeed. Shame he didn't win that other race. Also, orange Serotta's are really nice.

Kerry does have a Serotta, but the bike he has used for the PMC for the last few years (and the one in the pic) is a custom painted bright orange Cervelo. Hard to see in the pics, but it has ghosted flames on the headtube.

My hat is off to you. Very impressive!

I'd love to ride the PMC but 1. I've never ridden that far in two days before so I'd be challenging myself (which I'd love to do), 2. the entry fee is steep, even though it is all for a good cause, and 3. the 4:30AM start is not much less than half a night's sleep before I usually get up!

It's so worth re-visiting this thread just to see Audrey Hepburn's pics.....There will never be another one like her. So nice to see these pics when she was still brightening up the world with her mega cuteness!
My crush for her never faded since I was a kid seeing her old movies and I swear, I'd melt into a blubbering fool where I stand if I ever met her face to face!....
I bet even Bogey might lose his cool if he hung around near her long enough...looks like he might even be avoiding eye contact with her in this pic??..

I know there are a few Tampa Bay Bucs players that commute to practice on bicycles, but can't find any picks of them. LeBron James is also a big on cycling to keep in shape.

Christopher Hitchens riding a bike to protest against the ridiculous NY both-feet-on-the-pedals law. Pretty minor target for the man who tackled kissinger and mother teresa, but sharp and right as always.

His faith based atheism I found illogical and mean spirited. Otherwise a good entertainer and thinker.
