Dude, f*** that guy. White shoes are sweet. You have my official seal of approval. Print it out and show it to him on your next ride.
Edit: Hey wait, you a sock puppet? C'mon....come clean, its good for the soul.

That's like the clowns saying you can't wear a yellow jersey because you didn't earn it.

Just say to him that you heard differently from his mom, it's arrogant small minded pricks like that that need a frame pump stuck in their spokes.

OCP rules for footwear, section 301(b)/42.8874 clearly states:
Wearer of cycling shoes for road cycling shall only wear black shoes unless:
1) Wearer is a professional, or,
2) Wearer is faster than PCad, or,
3) Wearer has seal of approval from Bongo and is in possession of wallet card.
If one of these three exceptions is in place, wearer may wear shoes of a silver, gray, or white tone as the primary color of the upper.

I wear MTB shoes with a road bike so I'm already in violation. If I commit another violation with the color, do the violations cancel each other out?

people in all different sports are iffy about stuff like that, it's not like your claiming to be this or that, I wouldn't worry about it. now the one case where I'm iffy about that is people who haven't gone to boot camp wearing the Marine Corps Eagle Globe and Anchor and even so I don't say anything about it since I have no leg to stand on about it (aka haven't gone to boot camp) so tell them unless they're serious pro's or whatever get off your *****

See, your missing the sarcasm.
If anyone here said that you couldn't wear white shoes it would be considered correct OCP advise but if someone else does it its a capital offense
Relax.
