Someone said to check here for year of manufacture, I could not find anything online: Serial number is: 3691185-701

A description of the bike would help, and a photo would be even better. Taken from the drive side of course!

Serial number at best gives you the year. Motobecane made a full line of bicycles from basic to great and everything in between.
Fortunately, Motobecane used a lot of Japanese parts, many of which came with date codes. Vintage Trek site has excellent component date code information. Exact year of bike has no bearing on value.

I'm thinking if the serial numbers are sequential probably 1978 or so.
