No need to change anything for new pics.... That bike is just stunning as is. This bike looks totally different in person, it just absolutly shines....
Guess I ought to put the original and correct brake levers and saddle back on it before I shoot more pics.

Motobecane Mirage, anybody got a fork?
Good day folks, here is my Motobecane Mirage. I'm not sure the year. The fork is a little tweaked so I'll need a new one. Other than that and some tires she's all good,
Huret shifters and derailleurs, SR cranks with Motobecane badging, Motobecane seat and bars as well. Weinmann brakes and wheels, Shimano hubs.
Oh and a sweet double-legged kickstand.

Pistol - If it is not very severe, you can usually un-tweak it with any one of several methods. I like the car jack method (below)for fore-aft movement. I've done slight lateral adjustments incrementally on the bike.

1975 Motobecane Grand Jubile.

Very nice bike, and great finishing touches. I've got a 531 Gran Jubilee with Nervex lugs, too. Such an absolutely terrific bike.

Why is it that every one of these bikes I've seen and most of the ones on this thread are TALL?!?!?! It seems that there are more tall Motobecanes than shorter ones. I know thats an odd observation, but I can't help but notice.

This thread makes me REALLY want a real Motobecane. I love my Sprint, but it's just not the same.
Didn't Motobecane size/fit their bikes more like the typical 70s Italian bike than they did like, say, Peugeot?

Pics of my Grand Record are coming soon. I finally got off my butt and started the rebuild. So far it looks WAY better than I expected. For the people that never saw pics, it's a mid seventies red/black with Campy NR, a Nervar Star crank, and was really rough looking the last time I posted it. I cannot wait to do a before and after, and t's only been about 3-4 years since it was snagged off of CL for $100. It was one of those "I've got a bunch of bikes from a storage unit, but only a lousy cell phone camera" specials. I saw red and black and made the long trip to go check it out, not knowing if it was a mirage or what. If you looked at the top tube juuuuust right, you could make out an all but rubbed away <-----Grand Record----->. I handed him the money, and drove away.,,,,BD

Does anybody have a pre-1968 or so Moto? They were manufacturing bicycles since 1923, and I'd love to see a photo of one of the older ones.

I really like the Raleighs, but could never opt over a Moto. Not to say the Moto's are better bikes, they just hold a certain place in my heart. There are just too many bikes and not enough money or space to keep them all.

They're not tall, we're just all running 650b's, short crank arms, small chainrings, and tiny brake levers! Your perspective is off! I think taller Motos are just easier to find for sale since not so many people can ride them.

Got some Paselas today for the GR. I always get thrown off by the size difference between Panaracer and everyone else. I ordered 1 1/8's, and got what looks a normal 1 1/4". I was expecting something racier, but got something rivendell would approve of, hehe. I do plan to actually ride it instead of look at it, so the extra cushioh will be appreciated. My fenders will still fit, so it's all good

Yours is the same model, same color and probably the same year as my Le Champion. Great riding bike! And I do ride it frequently.
Mine has the same paint issues. Notice here I was trying to preserve as much as possible of that original enamel with fenders and a mud flap. Now I only ride it on clear dry days. I think the paint is very endearing. Reminds me of an old oil painting... with wheels.
