Addiction 2021.4

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dumb BF question: I am looking for a list of frame builders that will do custom geometry in Crabon Fiber. Ideally USA but would not mind if worldwide. I was going to post in “Framebuilders” but that subforum seems anti-plastic.

Thoughts?

Aspic, def: a savory jelly made with meat stock, set in a mold and used to contain pieces of meat, seafood, or eggs.

Breakfast activity complete. Third cup of coffee in process. Warm body completed. I will shortly get dressed for a multi-hour off-road ride. I have lately been thinking of seeing if my wife's mtb/town bike, which is way small for me, can be outfitted in such a way that I can use it. It would open up a lot more trails. Boosters for seniors this Mon-Wed., in our town. Astra-Zeneca. Useless or not, it will be nice to have it in the vault. Omicron has been detected in northern Mexico just in the last couple days. It will surely spread like wildfire.

longest walk post-catastrophe my foot felt ok and it was nice to feel semi human again. It would be nice to become a cyclist again.

In other news, I made grilled ham and cheese sandwiches on the griddle. I think it was about 25 seconds per side. That's crazy fast but the cheese was melted and the ham was hot.

I (almost) cut my hair today and reviewed my credit card receipts against the invoice to make sure everything is accounted for. That is about all on this 72 degree day. I'm getting a nap today!

Lots of Strava Flyby activity today

No real desire to try and complete the Festive 500. Arguably I'm in a much better climate to make it not suck so much, but I still have to work all this week.

Who knows, maybe I'll put in some pre-work rides. Looks like I'm at 120km (75mi) so far, but that would still require an average of almost 76km (50mi) /day.

So yeah, like 18 miles every morning on work days and then a couple metrics on days off. Probably not going to happen.
