I have a super rare road bike. Built by Doug Fattic of niles mi ordered by triathleate Tom Doughty in 1979. Doug constructed 3 frames for Doughty who qualified on this frame for the 1980 moscow olympics, the frame was later chrome plated making it the only chrome fattic frame in existance. The frame was repaired by doug some time in the late 80s and never sent back. Passed through a few hands built up in diffrent configurations and today has a nice mix of modern (2009ish) campy components. Frame is constructed with colombus SLX tubing and has an excelent geometry and rides like a dream. Frame fits long legged 6ft + riders...6ft 3-5in would fit best. I am 6ft 6in fits well. seat tube measures 62cm has a low bb and short cranks 165mm

Someone should grab that Semi-pro. I actually have one in 58 which had been converted to a fixed-gear (the derailleur hanger is unmolested, thankfully)--- and I keep dreaming of finding all the original black Suntour cyclone stuff, the black crank/chainring, black brakes.... probably never gonna happen without spending too much $$, but here's this one just sitting there....

It's not just you - noticed it too. Looks like a small dent at the point where a bend seems to start 1/2 between the brake and the top of the cluster.

At least at launch the sizes on this model were 54cm c-t-t and then 58cm c-t-t.
Subject machine appears too large for 54cm size and too small for 58cm size.
Perhaps an in between size was offered in subsequent model years...
I was interested in the model at launch and test rode it at local dealer. Unfortunately the 54 is slightly small for me and the 58 slightly large so never owned a GJ.

Borderline Wacky-World entry. Frame MIGHT be worth the price of admission, depending on your region. But the poor thing was dragged into an alley and stripped of its original kit. Not to mention the seller says virtually ZERO about the bike, and can't spell the brand.

After a delivery today, I was heading to a Lowes to get some fertilizer/weed stuff. I went past a pawn shop and spied a couple of vintage drop bar roadies in front. I made the block and rolled through the parking lot for a closer look. I parked the van and got out. It was a Trek Fastrak 370 and a Schwinn Paramount! The Trek was a 58-60 with RSX and a price tag of $125. Decent shape also. I don't know much about Paramounts. It looked like a 54 with all Campy except for Superbe derailleurs. Pretty good shape.The price tag was faded, so I walked in and asked about it. The stool jockey behind the desk said it was a 1986. It was a 54cm frame and they wanted a thousand bucks for it. When he said that I thought I was Fred Sanford having the big one and going to join Elizabeth! I recovered quickly however, and told him I would put it on a message board. Anyway, here are a couple of pics. It's in Fredericksburg, VA. If anyone is interested, send me a PM and I will give you the name of the pawn shop. Fredericksburg is about 70 miles from me, but I go there on business about every 2 weeks. It is my size, so I will keep tabs on it and see if the price drops.

Now for the rest of the story...............So I exit the pawn shop and start walking back to the van. As I approach, I notice one of the front tires has a flat headed metal screw embedded in one of the tread knobs. I pull across the street into a Food Lion parking lot and find me a level spot in the back forty away from the rest of the shoppers. I take some pliers and head around and determine my fate. Dirty Harry is talking to me. "Do you fell lucky? Well, do you punk?" I reach down and take hold of the screw, then work it out. As it comes out, so starts the ppppssssshhhhh of a leak. Dang! I got it changed and head back to Richmond. Dirty Harry was right. It wasn't my lucky day.
