Venture Le Mans 12-speed

We'll, I didn't pay anything for this as it was placed at the corner of the street for free, but I'm wondering what a reasonable price would be if I were to fix up and sell.

Something I noticed on it that I've never seen elsewhere is that the brake lines run in and out of the frame. I don't believe this is a sign of any value but thought I'd mention it.

Here it is:

Also, I want to replace the tires. The edges of them say 27 1/4

Low end bike with little to no value. Not worth much more than new tires and bar tape IMO. If existing tires and cables can be used, you might make it sellable with just bar tape, elbow grease and tune up.

If you are very resourceful, you may break even on whatever you pay for parts and consumables. Not as resourceful? It is very easy to LOSE money on a free bike.

Maximum profit? Air up the tires, knock the dirt off, and maybe get $35 for it.

If I saw that bike for free, I'd grab it for sure and immediately donate it to the local co-op. There they have donated tires and parts, and volunteer mechanics. They would refresh it and probably get $75 for it. Me I'd have $75 into tires and consumables.

I ended up doing what you suggested as well as installing a new handlebar. I'm enjoying riding this as a beater
