Cateye Reverse Display Question

Anybody have experience with reverse display LCD screens? I'm looking at this one

My choice is between the dark reverse display and the standard. Is it easier to see in the daytime? Use more or less battery?

Bikes: Lynskey Live Wire for the dirt; Fezzari Empire for the road.

It has nothing to do with battery usage. The only difference between a "normal" and "reverse" LCD screen is the orientation of the polarized film under the screen. I don't know if either is "easier" to see in the daytime, but more personal preference. I've had watches with either, and none was more visible than the other in sunlight.
