Steel Colnago - finally, a reason to come back to C&V!

I originally posted about this in the appraisals forum, but was looking for more info rather than craigslist asking price, so figured I could come back into the main C&V section. It's been a while--I've held onto a a few of my C&V rides (Lugged steel tandem, Fat Chance mtb, 60s Raleigh Sports) but my focus has been more on modern tig'd steel the last few years so I've migrated away from the C&V forum.

This weekend I was out picking up a new bike for my son (Isla Bikes cnoc - thing rocks!) and stumbled across this Colnago that I thought would fit my wife and I couldn't pass it up... I am figuring it will replace her Cannondale if she likes it. She only really rides occasionally and it's typically bike path / around the neighborhood and her SS mountain bike (also sort of C&V - Bianchi C.u.SS with Paul hubs!) is probably more than adequate, but that's besides the point...

Here are a few pics in as purchased condition. Mix of Ultegra/600 and Dura Ace parts with 9s drivetrain. Parts are all functional but will likely get swapped out for a mostly alloy Campy 10 group with alloy stem and seatpost. I have most of the parts on hand but will need to source a shorter stem I think and I can't seem to find that alloy Chorus 10 RD I know I have somewhere...

Columbus SL / Colnago decal. Lots of nicks and scratches, but no dents and everything looks straight. Appears to be full chrome underneath the paint. Seat tube looks to be around 48/49cm and slightly longer top tube.

I don't know much about Colnagos, I'm afraid to say. Anybody know the model or year? It has 600 tricolor 8s era hubs (cassette), headset, brakes and crank...so I'm guessing it originally came with that stuff. So that would put it probably mid 90s? Or is it older and was upgraded with the tricolor stuff at some point then later updated to 9s?

@4Rings6Stars - first off, welcome back!

on't assume the frame is all chrome. My 83 is only chrome on the chain stays and the head tube and lugs. My guess is that it is Superissimo, because of the chrome head lugs.

I guess I should have said why I assume... I can see what I think is chrome under some of the paint chips at various spots on the frame.

The FD mounting brazeon certainly looks like it's chrome.

Cool bike; your wife is going to look pretty good on that

Any other thoughts on this one? I can't seem to find much for Colnago catalogs other than 1994 and some from the early 2000's. Every model in 1994 had chrome lugs it seems, so that doesn't seem to be narrowing it down much.
