Opus III

The Opus III is a true racing machine and an absolute masterpiece. Mine rides like dream and is supremely responsive. As good as the best of the best. Craftmanship and finish of the frame is truly stunning. It's a Cheribum branded as a Fuji. A true sleeper. Plus it's a relatively lightweight frameset compared to other top brass steal machines of the era.

My love of all things Fuji led me to have a run of these 1980's style caps produced by Walz recently. They arrived and I could not be more impressed by the quality and appearance. I had enough made for the kids and caps of each color for myself. I do have a few extras also.

Yep, not one of my comfort bikes for sure, it's a full on race ride even with the way I have it set up. I finally scored some really nice silver tubulars for it with Superbe Pro hubs. I just have to recenter the axle on the rear wheel and then figure out what tubulars I'm putting on it.

They were really grey and nasty when I got them but polished up so well.

Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

How about an original? I gave this to my dad many years ago as a joke gift. As a huntin'-and-fishin' old fart, he obviously never wore it.

Hi Greg,
Those caps look great. I am a big Fuji fan. Would you be willing to sell one? Thank you,

Is this a 77 Fuji Professional? Other guesses?

I purchased this mystery bike yesterday. The pics below are from the Offerup ad. Serial Number is 77C50004. Suntour Superbe, Nitto Mod 165/Crystem. The paint looks old but may not be original.

Maybe if he's into fishing, he thought it said FUGU and avoided it!

Dunno about the rest of it but those lugs look Paramount-y.

Without seeing more photos my best guess would a be a '77 Fuji Pro. The lug work, fork crown, Suntour Surperbe and especially the Nitto Crystem would support that. If so, great find!

My 1981 Fuji America Light Touring bike

i turned it into a single speed, which I know, anathema to some. I may turn it back into a full touring bike again. But for now it is so useful as a single speed commuter.

That looks right. A better shot of the seat lug cluster would seal it. Looked a little dodgy to me, but when I blew up the photo to 300% I think I can see the seatstay top scallop and Nervex-y lug.

Here is the seat lug. I also checked the steerer for markings. It is stamped 77C, matching the first three characters on BB shell. I am inclined to paint it silver mink and apply decals, but only if there is reasonable confidence in the ID.
