I have never seen that hack and it is so simplistic, yet perfect. Thanks for sharing this. Normally I never keep valve caps on but maybe I should. You never know when it might come in handy.

Now, 45 years ago we used to make adopter that were seldom used but could be life changing. Schraeder to presta adapters. Used when we passed someone with an American bike or English 3-speed. (Back before our frame fit pumps had heads that fit both valve types.)

Life changing because that person we were assisting might well be of the other sex and who knows where that could lead. (This was long before POC language. We called them "damsel in distress" adapters.)

He screwed the "adapter" on without unscrewing the nut on the presta valve.
he didn't show where he unscrewed the cap so he could unscrew the nut on the presta valve and screw the cap back on.
