Looking for front and rear cartridge (sealed) hubs

So took my bike home after being parked in DC for about a year. It's a commuter bike that will sit in the rain/snow etc. I pulled apart the rear hub because the wheel had play. The cup was badly pitted. I'm disappointed because the cup was in perfect condition beforehand. It's a Shimano fh-rm60 8 speed, 135mm 32H.

I can buy it on eBay easily. I saw someone selling it for 9 bucks or so. But frankly I want something more dependable and easier to service. I was talking to a bike guy and he indicated that sealed hubs with replicable bearings is the wat to go in my situation.

However, when searching it seems very hard to find. Anyone know a good set model?

My wheels are 700c

My rear is 32h 135mm 8S

My front is also 32h not sure of the width, but I rebuilt it last year with a Shimano HB-m290

trailangel, I'm sure that $500 Chris King hubs would be nice, but wouldn't a Shimano hub, for 1/10 the price, be ok? This model aren't sealed bearings, but they do have rubber seals on both ends.

That's kind of what I am getting from people. So I wanted to go with a cartridge based hub so that it's easier to service. Dealing with balls and grease and rags and everything is pain last to me

Keep in mind that most cartridge hubs are only easier to service if you have the right tools to pull and reinstall the cartridges, or are willing to pay a shop to do it (in which case, you don’t necessarily care if the hub is loose ball or not, since you’re paying to let someone else worry about that). They’re nice in the sense that you get a complete brand new bearing every time you replace them, but if you’re exposing them to the elements to that degree, I have to wonder whether you’ll get other parts of the hub starting to degrade as well (like freehub, axle, bearing seats, etc.).

Also, with press-fit bearings, the health of the bearing seats (i.e. the interface in the hub shell and or axle that the cartridge presses into) is important, and if you’re pulling and reinstalling them every year, plus exposing them to corrosion, and using DIY tools, I don’t know how long the hub will last anyway.

I've had a few sets of Vuelta wheels with cartridge hubs for about 10 years. The 26" pair have been in rainstorms quite a bit and the hubs are doing fine. Nashbar used to carry them, but Amazon has them. Mine are cheap ones - I think I paid $125 for them.

Here is a set for $113.24.

Guys I was thinking of these. Koozer XM490.

They seem to hit the spot on everything. I can get them as a set (70 bucks). They have a Shimano Freehub and are 135MM 32h. The problem is they are noisy and are designed for MTB.
