I've never been a "sports guy" so I never really understood why people wore Derek Jeter jerseys, etc.
But. I just finishes watching the Paris-Roubaix and Ronde, and I'm blown away by Cancellarra and Boonen. Hence, I think I'm going to buy the saxo swiss champion jersey and the quickstep Belgian jersey. Maybe it'll insire me to pedal harder out there.

I'd avoid wearing a "Champion" jersey if you didn't earn the right to wear it. I know they sell them to the public and all, but it's just not a good idea unless you want people to point and laugh. Well, maybe not point and laugh at you. Maybe just snicker behind your back.

but only if you don't have a red star, yellow shirt or igor beside your name.
the only team jersey I have is trek-discovery, but that's because they were a bargain at $20/ea.

So it's cool to wear a Derek jeter jersey but not cancellara? Meh. I wouldn't be wearing it to have anyone think I "earned" it, obviously.

I have a discovery jersey solely because I like the discovery channel and it has a picture of the earth on it. I'm science nerdy. All my other jerseys are twin six & stuff like that.

It's just that baseball doesn't involve riding 6 inches away from one another at 20 some mph. If you want to, go ahead, but i've noticed that nobody wants to ride next to or behind the guy in the replica stuff. Your call. : )

So yeah, go ahead and buy their jersey. During summer I ride an old jersey of a club from Rijswijk (NL) and during winter I ride a Rabobank jersey,
In between I ride a plain red/black windstopper jacket.
Botto: I could use some new team jerseys. You guys still looking for overweight (not too fast) cyclists on the club?

I avoid the guys in the "old farty bastard cycling club" jerseys. Can't believe anyone actually buys those.
