Lightweight Shoes for Flat Pedals With Toeclips
Due to some physical issues and constraints I'm thinking of swapping out my road pedals for flats with toe-clips - I'd like to get some ideas on light weight shoes to buy and thought this forum would be a good place to start - not interested in heavy weight MTB shoes .
Since the cleat is recessed , I guess something like a Shimano shoe would work - thanks everyone for your responses .

lightweight, fairly 'roomy', and sole has decent / sufficient stiffness - but don't know if / how they will work with toe clips
Shimano SH-CT71L - or similar (more recent model)

Noticed you have a Schwinn Paramount and a Litespeed - very nice - what year and model is the Litespeed , I have a 2003 Tuscany .
Here's another possibility : CT5 | SHIMANO BIKE-US

I wish my Lightspeed was a Tuscany or similar
It's a mid-90's Obed FS ... unfortunately has not been ridden in decades

Thanks t2p , as I get older my flexibility, balance, & confidence have diminished with regard to "clipping in" to start a ride - I love to ride and am just trying to think of changes I can make to have the start be a little easier - the toe clip would act like a stopper for the left foot as I mount hopefully providing a more secure feel .
