Did some riding around the neighborhood this afternoon. Had my wife take a few pictures of me on the new bike so I could study how it fits. The pictures confirm what I felt - I need just a slightly shorter stem.

Did the Lorain Wheelmen Red Flannel metric 100. After a mud fest cyclocross race yesterday my legs were next to dead. Great ride, weather, riding partners, and really great and abundant food and treats. Anyone within driving distance should mark this ride for next years calendar.

62 miles on our Tandem at the Giro d'Vino in Acampo, CA. Absolutely perfect weather including a total absence of wind. Pretty flat course, but didn't quite make an 18 mph hour - nevertheless, not bad for old folk.

Only 46 miles today due to leaf raking duty. Asked my neighbor when he was going to get his oak leaves out of my yard? His reply: After I get my Christmas lights up(he was doing this today) and he said he had a 2pm tee time so he might not get the leaves today!

48f when I returned to my house. Saw not one other roadie the entire ride.

no ride today with the time change, I may be able to get a 60 minute ride but that might be cutting it close without any blinking lights on my bike so I blew more leaves. Fall ,you gotta love it.

28 miles this morning with temp at the start at 34 and 36 after I call it quit for the day. Nice sunny day with little wind. Despite the arm warmers, I still felt cold on the arms. Maybe I should have a base layer next time with the arm warmers.

I rode to the polls to vote and then rode for about an hour before it got dark. Riding the Casseroll as a single-speed is more fun than I expected. I still may install a track cog to ride fixed. It will be about a week before my new wheels arrive so I can make the conversion to multi-geared.

Sure, had to get a Birthday ride! Had a late start, only got 26 miles (not enough time for FIFTY SIX!!!), but it was cold!

Was 61F when I started & went ahead & put on the long pants & sleeves, but I was wishing I had one more layer by the time I got back to the house! Good ride, saw about 8 deer & a field full of turkeys. New country...

Rode to work today. And home. 19 miles total. Upper 30's this morning and upper 40's this afternoon but sunny. Minimal wind today. Saw a couple of raccoons 'resting' on the roadway. The motorists were well-behaved.

11/01: 12.3 miles to the post office and back with a little extra loop thrown in for fun. My turn to pull Pepper in the trailer.

11/02: 20.8 miles with DH in the late morning. I ended up with a cut on my arm from a suicidal bug that splattered on me during a downhill. I don't know what it was, but it HURT! We stopped at the park so Pepper could stretch his legs and get a snack for being such a good traveler. He loves that trailer!

11/03: 12.3 miles to the post office and back again. Lovely weather and little traffic. DH pulled his Border Collie mix, Lucky, today...training him how to ride safely in the trailer.

For me, 61 F is perfection, and short sleeve and shorts weather. How different we all are!!

34 brisk-paced miles this afternoon. The weather's been beyond gorgeous, highs in the mid-70s, the skies blue and the sun warm enough to add to my tan.

Rode for about an hour on the paved path at the park. They also have a primitive trail (dirt, mud, gravel and sand) that I tried for the first time, liked it.

Sunny, 52 degrees, a little breezy

Ive had trouble with my right wrist for a while so the heavy work with the big chain saws has been light but the work was pressing me and the past two days ive done firewood. It surprized me how tired the handleing the wood made me //Ive biked a lot and felt it would keep me fit for the wood work but it seems the two vigorous exersises are birds of a different color.///I had another enjoyable ride through the woods, sometimes walking the bike to look for trees to be harvested./Kenneth

Tuesday afternoon ride: 40 miles along the Chicago Lakefront bikepath. Two hours and twenty minutes of fresh air on a mild November day.

No riding yet this week. I've had a sick kid in the house and then other things have also occupied my time when I was free. I have a metric in N. Ga. this Sat. that should be nice. I'm now in cruise mode this time of year.
