Like lots of 23 year olds, he'll make mistakes. He's smart enough to only make each mistake once.

In the 99.9% of the time that he is not making mistakes, he's an exciting rider. He has power, can climb, can sprint, needs to develop some TT, needs to learn tactics. I'm enjoying watching his journey.
Agreed. He was just about the only entertaining rider in the 2012 TDF...this was a mistake, but he has a lot of growing up to do.

The real question in my mind is how can anybody stand there without grabbing that? And I'm 41...

Love him.

Not condoning the groping incident at all, that was definitely a huge error in judgment on his part. But the way he rides is incredibly entertaining.

So what do you think about Anquetil and Coppi?

That's exactly what came to mind when they were talking about Sagan autographing some girl's breast

How long has this been going on?

Clearly, they, just like Sagan, are "new school" misogynists.

There is a difference - on the book cover the girl happily offered and Anquetil happily obliged. Here JA gave fans exactly what they wanted, even if it pushed the boundaries of good taste. In my book it's raucous joke taken uncomfortably public.

Last year the girl had a piece of paper to sign and got an unwelcome mural across her chest. In my book it borderlines on assault.

^This has gone a bit off track.
I think Keith99 brought up Coppi and Anquetil because of the questionable morality of some of their romantic entanglements.
Coppi, though married, went after another man's wife.
Anquetil maintained a menage a trois with his wife, and wife's daughter.

Bingo. Glad to see someone know those bits of history.

Interestingly Anquetil was rather disliked, for other reasons, and Coppi seems to have been worshipped.

Actually, Coppi's affair seriously dented his popularity. Until then he had been worshipped. Leaving his wife lost him a lot of support. He was never as great a hero again until his early death sanctified him once more.

Still looking for the part where the girl slaps Sagan's hand, or isn't smiling, finding the whole thing amusing.

Like the celebrations! If Cancellara and the girl don't care, why should it bother anyone else? If it does, he should apologize. Should the team reprimand him or cycling fine him? Go ahead, but in my opinion that would be like giving the middle finger to a bad driver...it won't change a thing.

As for T-shirt? Nope, don't dig that, but that's just like my opinion, man. Live and let live! Vive le tour!

Someone already mentioned photoshop. The picture with the t-shirt looks like a very amateur photoshop job.

I'm not going to blame anyone for a 'picture' like that one.

There are at least two pictures of him wearing the same shirt, both of which were widely disseminated. Neither Sagan nor anyone from his 'camp' ever denied it.

I think it's very unlikely it's a photoshop job.

I also don't give two craps what he wears.

I don't think there was any photoshop job. It all just all fitted nicely to point in the same direction. Grabbing a$$ (uncalled for), signing boobs/cleavage (when all what he was offered to sign was a piece of paper) and that obnoxious t-shirt.

Anyway, I think he's young and kinda immature, and hopefully has been talked to by advisors regarding decorum.

Really glad he apologized to that girl. And publicly too. It was the right thing to do.
