Tough trail conditions

It's half day Friday and it's off to see how the trails have fared with the rain and warmer weather the day before. Once I got on the trails, I knew it was going to be a fight so why not do my climbing route. This was just one of the climbs I ran into with an even longer and steeper one shorty after this to wake up the legs. I think I got a KOM on Zwift

I hear crunching. must have been cold & firm ground conditions? (but yeah, ruts are evil)

Most of the crunch sound was me breaking thru thin layer of ice. Lots of slushy snow and found the back wheel spinning to find traction quite a bit.
