Here are a couple of photos of Italian actress (and singer) Silvana Pampanini, one including Delia Scala, who was her co-star in Bellezze in Bicleetta (Beauties on Bicycles). The bicycles should be 1950s models,as the film was released in early 1951. Also inlcuded is a short newsreel feature showing some behind the scenes footage for the bicycle race sequence.

Recently deceased, Korean-Japanese actor, Akira Takarada (April 29, 1934 - March14, 2022). Many members may recognize him from the Japanese monster movies made by the Toho film company in the 1950s and 1960s, particularly his role as navy diver Hideto Ogata, in the orignal 1954 version of Godzilla.

"Whole lotta love" for this man. Saw two of his shows back college. His first two solo albums still hold up great.

He says his dad used to do bike tours of Britain. And a young Robert later got into track cycling.

Didn't know he was into cycling, but yeah, he and his team Zep did quite well as musicians.

I never did get to watch RP in person, but have always been a fan.

Back in about 1985 I bought my first CD player. This was one of my first cd purchases.

I once fell off my bike in my living room. Long story, long ago. My sister couldn't stop laughing.
