Lucky! My closest Aldi doesn't have a bike rack :[
I'll still take my Diamondback Ascent there occasionally though. The thing's such a tank that it doesn't handle much different loaded.

I had the front end of my competition highly loaded and pushing the bike was uncomfortable but riding was a breeze.

1988 Schwinn Voyageur with Trailer. I get some funny looks at the Walmart Pick Up line, but it works and gives me be about a 10 mile work out each time

From January 3rd, I made a quick trip to the nearby Schnucks store. Schnucks is a small chain based in St. Louis, but this is located up north in Peoria, IL.
I can't recall whether they installed the bike rack when they built the place, or if I requested it. Either way, I do appreciate it!
on the other hand, it took many requests for a bike rack to get a response from Kroger.
When they did put a rack in, they put it in a place that also attracted shopping carts. People would use the bike rack to park the carts instead of taking them to the nearest corral, which was not at all close. Once the Schnucks opened up closer to me, I rarely go back there.

I thought I had a blend of bikes to haul the bacon, but it seems the Ross gets the most work and it does so admirably. Rain, dark, holidays, etc.
Pretty sure this brought back local cider.
Smoking a pork shoulder that tasted so much better after hauling the charcoal.

That is so cool and I hope to cycle to shop someday; planning on a trailer if/when I can figure out where to store one in the garage). Eh, with my closest Aldi (1/2 mile) always out of just about everything, I could soon bring home my purchases in my mini underseat bag . My usual weekly shopping loop is only 9 miles to hit 4 stores (the others are all fully stocked) is not too far but better make the frozen-foods purchases at the last stop!

here is my rig for errands, small grocery runs etc have 2 bags that go on racks simple hook and bungie set up. in truth more runs to the local micro brew place to bring back staples (ipa, dipa, hazy, sours)

I do some 90% of my grocery shopping by bike, and since all of mine qualify as C&V, ... .
I keep a pair of panniers on the UO-8, and I have some great drop-on panniers -- see link below -- for the mountain bike's Blackburn MTN Rack. (No dropout eyelets -- no problem, with padded P-clips. )

For paper towels, toilet paper, and similar lightweight bulky products. I supplement the panniers with the huge bright orange backpack I bought as a grad student at a military surplus store.
