Resonance

I always found it cool whenever I removed a water bottle from my Columbus SL steel Paramount that the entire frame vibrated like a musical instrument. Same with my current ride. I always associated that with a quality frame. Any one else notice this resonance?

Resonance?

My Colnago produces La Musica's prologue from Monteverdi's L'Orfeo.

But only if I ride it just right.

I use sound to help identify tubing quality and spoke tension.

Yes. If the bottle cage vibrates, you get a one-note song. Other riders look over.
On my carbon bike, it sounds like the opening echo to "Beat It" by M. Jackson.

One of the reasons I like modern gearing on older steel bikes is the sound.
The lighter shifts are quiet and sound confident. Tube echo is so "I bought a temporary bike."

Just kidding.
Not really.
Just kidding.
Maybe.
