R7000 shifters with old brakes.

Short question. I have R7000 shifters. Will old Tiagra series rim brakes work with them? (Can’t recall the Tiagra series, but 9 speed whatever number that was)

So would my problem be because the pull on the R7000 levers is somehow not compatible with the 4500 series caliper brakes?

Those are direct mount brakes and not a drop-in replacement for the Tiagra 4500 brake caliper which has a traditional center single bolt mount..

Don't know what you mean by what I've highlighted but, both models are center bolt, dual pivot calipers.
