Sometimes it's better to just admit your bike is too small.

Or trade your cyclewear in for something like this:

Wow. A $30 bike that would ship to me from the other side of the United States for one penny.

MINE!!! I CLAIM IT!!! So the math is fuzzy it's 20 minutes from my house. I'm the 1st bid. Hope the fuzzy scares other people away. I know that no body on the c/v forum would out bid a fellow member.

Vintage Raleigh Road Bike - $150 (oakland lake merritt / grand)

Very cool vintage raleigh road bike. 55c. Will be ready to ride with some minor work. There is a crack in the frame (see picture) that looks ugly but doesn't affect the ride as far as I can tell. Also the rear tire sometimes rubs the frame. Other than that, it should be good to go. I had it tuned up this month. If you know anything about bike maintenance, this is probably for you.

Ok, that one made me wince.

And I want to know what shop tuned it up and let him ride it away like that so I can be sure to never go there... ever.

45-50 mph scared the crap out of me on an 05 Scott speedster, 70mph would be suicidal on that one IMHO.,,,,BD

All these guys do around here is comb through all the goodwill stores converting bikes into fixies or listing one turd for the price of three.

So that "sandman" grew 4 inches in 2 months and the bike doesn't fit? Wow.
Exact same problem here, all the bikes on craigslist are sold by big sellers who buy cheap bikes and sell them for x3 the cost or convert them to fixies and sell them for x4 the price they paid. Ive been looking for weeks and I can't find anything worth buying.

I normally ignore all the "wacky" ads - but couldn't pass up posting this one:

"this bike has nickel jointes it ways 7 lbs and has finger shfters must see for details"

I wonder if the "finger shfters" originally came with the "jointes".

Okay, first, this seller cut and pasted like half of Wal-Mart's website. Second, they're trying to sell an "f-ed up" (their words) Wal-Mart Mongoose ("sweet ride !! just a little banged up bent handlebars, bent derailer mount, ripped seat. make an offer!!!") for more than they cost in the store.

We have to deal with that crap all the frickin time here in So Cal. I went to the Orange Coast College swap meet last weekend, and half the bikes there were stolen. I knew they were stolen because the firemen put the registration sticker on the seat tube of all bikes, and the bikes I know are stolen had these removed (you can see the area where the sticker was because the paint on the bike is faded, and the area where the sticker was is not.) The other half of the bikes there were P.O.S. bikes that were being devoured by rust and all the paint was chipping off. Some were even missing key components! The cheapest bike I could find that was not stolen was $150.

This one's great:
https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/1143240983.html
It's an artists' easel, probably lifted from the studios of the local art school at VCU. Only place in town with that sort of easel. Creative re-purposing, combined with creative redistribution of assets.

I didn't know Mongoose made carbon fiber frames that look cool! Hell, I thought Mongoose made cheap BMX and MTB! The strange thing is this: both frames look very similar... Even the chain rings are exactly the same!

How about this:

"I have bike invention provisional patent and am looking for some bike company or person to partner up and develop my invention "

I bet a lot of bike companies look on CL for their next big idea...

I wonder what it is, perhaps a handlebar mount laptop so you can check CL on the road.

"I have 3rd grade English book. Use it as a guide to writing ads."
