Since those were taken, I've swapped the Thomson setback post for a straight one, since the saddle was so far forward on the setback. It's a pretty freakin awesome ride. IF are a magnificent company with an impeccable personal touch.

I love the paint jobs on IF bikes. They're so different than the other brands out there. They're not "decal-dependent" and don't look so space-cadet-like. Those fades are soooooooo cool !!!!!

My home monitor is overly dark so chances are if I view this at work it looks perfect.

I've considered doing something else with the bar tape, but the darkness in those pictures is overemphasized by my crappy skillZ with a camera.

Hi All-
Any thoughts on whether one should go for an all-titanium INDEPENDENT FABRICATION or a carbon fiber and titanium mix? I've got more than two decades of experience in serious cycling and enjoy high-speed competitive club rides. We have little sprint competitions and beat each other up pulling hard on the flats. Stiffness and driveline strength are important considerations for my next bicycle purchase.
Rest assured, if I select an I.F. model in the near future, I'll definitely post a picture to this thread!

Personally, I'd go all titanium or all steel. I just don't have any confidence in MY ability to keep from dropping a carbon or partial carbon frame, or otherwise damaging it.

Rear triangle
Hi All-
The burgundy/gray Crown Jewel pictured at the beginning of this thread by "pde" has a traditional rear triangle construction while that sweet-looking white model (what is it, exactly?) has the carbon fiber "wishbone" style rear triangle. Does anyone know the comparative advantages/disadvantages to each type? I can't decide in my mind what I think would be stronger.
Wow, my mind was luring me towards an XS and I've got to say the lugless construction of the Crown Jewels pictured above are absolutely fantastic. While I'm certainly strongly biased towards INDEPENDENT FABRICATION as the choice, deciding between the models themselves is absolutely dizzying.

Club Racer set up in touring mode. I need a good pic now that it's stripped down in roadie mode.

I love those IF fade paint jobs.
These IF's are nicer than all those carbon and decal monsters posted on the Best BF Bike Thread. I like those steel bikes posted there, but those carbon and mixed material bikes just look...well....ugly. Sorry.

Hi All-
This might not be the correct thread to raise INDEPENDENT FABRICATION questions, but for the folks who have posted pictures of their beautiful bicycles...what are the overall preferred build materials for an aggressive-handling and stiff I.F. frame that will be durable for years to come?
Would you go "whole hog" for an XS or opt for the more-traditional Crown Jewel built with the newest steels and titaniums that they offer? More pictures would also be extremely helpful and beneficial for those considering this brand. Thanks a million.
