Replacing Seatpost
Need to replace a damaged suspension seat post on an older (2008) Specialized Crossroads. I do not want another suspension post - just a rigid one. Any idea what size diameter & length seat post to fit?
Thanks,
RR

27.2 is very common. But, pull the old post and look for any numbers stamped on it. Or grab a caliper and measure.
There will be some differences in offset. Not a big deal, but it will impact on the forward/back adjustment range for the saddle.

BikeIndex says it's 27.2, but don't go by that. Pull the old post and look for the size stamp. The new one has to be exactly the same.

As the previous posters have said pull the post out you'll know. If you're wondering about length just measure it and don't get anything shorter. Should be pretty easy to figure this out.

I would recommend trying the Kinekt seatpost, it is an isolation post designed to isolate you from the bumps and unlike traditional "suspension" posts that are basically just a pogo stick this one gets you down but also moves you back to keep your leg extension more similar so you don't get extra pain. I get it yes it does add some weight but it really adds a ton of comfort. I absolutely hate the pogo posts that we also call captains chairs but the Kinket is really nice and can be tuned to your weight.
Just as others have said for measurement pull it out and check it is usually marked on the post and if not take out your vernier calipers and bing bang boom you got yourself a measurement.
