12speed with 11-36+
NOTE: This post is looking for 12 Speed cassette options.
My R3 has been running 50/34 & 11-36 using 11 speed R8000 series without issues for 1000's of miles.
I'd like to enjoy the same 11-36 gearing on my R5 using R8100 series (12 speed)
I've currently got a Shimano 12sp 11-34, but I do miss the that +2T I have on the R3.
Rotor does make a HG 12sp 11-36 but the $450.msrp will severely limit my enjoyment.
I've found it lower but not in the US. Don't get me wrong, I'd go that high for a Ti cassette.
I'm also worried due to a lack of reviews and Rotors use of Alloy for the larger cogs.
THE ACTUAL QUESTION
Has anyone experience or know of a 12speed R8100 series 11-36 setup using the Rotor or any other 11-36 (or larger) 12sp cassette ??
Thanks
Barry

I have the 12 speed rotor cassette in 11-36 and 11-39. They do not wear very well.

can you really notice the difference?
there is a 1.1 inch gear inch difference between 34 and 36
34 is 1.00 ratio and 36 is .94 ratio for .06 ratio difference

I used to exclusively us SRAm XG1190, which is machined from one chunk of some sort of hard steel, maybe recycled tank. I don't think under 30,000 miles is what I got from them. The Rotor has one cog that is worn and skips constantly and another that skips a little here and there. The bad one in the 3rd position, something like 28T or 31T. I am running 1x with a 48T up front. I don't know what I could have done wrong. The only other time this happened was circa 1985 with a Regina 13-18 aluminum freewheel. Must be me. I put a 11-34 shimano 12 speed ultegra on. Once I can find a dura ace, I will buy that.

Cycling is 50% mental and the other 3 quarters is gearing.
Plus the 3,849' mountain in my backyard is offended by anything smaller than 11-36
In truth, I'm 58 & been battling low FTP for a couple of years.
I'd go 11-40 if I thought it would work without changing multiple expensive Di2 parts on both bikes.
Barry
BTW - NOTE:
NOTE: This post is looking for 12 Speed cassette options.
Not about quizzing me on my ability to tell # of teeth while riding a bike.
Or making me own up to being a bicycle whimp, I've managed that for myself in many prior threads.

Yes, alloy big ones. I do not believe they are replaceable. They responded to my complaint the other day, I have to read it.

"maybe recycled tank" you owe me a keyboard, this one has coffee in it now.
BTW - you gave no indication of milage on the Rotor before issues appeared?
Thanks

They said cassette wear is difficult to predict and asked some questions like what drivetrain and what is the problem.
I did not list the miles intentionally. Not acceptable for my pocketbook.
