Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I did that. I have one hooked up to my stereo rig ('90s Denon/Adcom/Harman-Kardon/Klipsch stuff) in our family room, and another hooked up to my recording rig in our garage. When I'm bumping around the house, and want to listen to current music, I appreciate the convenience of being able to stream from my phone at times when I don't care a lot about high fidelity.

My stereo rig is about to be replaced by '80s Yamaha receiver, JVC turntable, and bigger Klipsch speakers that were my step-dad's. The Yammy and JVC were top of the line in their day, and are in excellent condition. Very nice pieces. The speakers are the bigger brother of the ones I currently have. The smaller pair and the Adcom amp will get moved out to the garage and integrated into that system for general listening service.

I used to run a pin router similar to this except it had a duct to vacuum the fiberglass dust.

It wouldn't have bothered me so much even five years ago. But that's a country headed in the wrong direction. And the way NBC did those mini-bios about her (US/China/whatever), rubs me the wrong way, too.

I think she’s just a dumb kid who doesn’t k ow any better. She likely thinks she’s doing a great thing to inspire young girls where really she’s just endorsing a genocidal and regressive regime.

In some contexts (such as the old Cold War) I could see merit in a celebrity bridging the divide between two countries. "Look at that American, she's cool."

Frankly I don't know how regular Chinese people view America right now. Or if it matters to their government.

In hard mode any clues you’re given you have to use. So you can’t intentionally use a letter that’s been eliminated in a different word to try and work things out.
