The Disc Trucker was a wonderful touring bike, but in my opinion that was all it was good for. I wanted an everyday bike, so I sold the Trucker and built up a Cross Check. It rides like a road bike unloaded and is smooth and sturdy loaded. I was worried about heel strike with bags, but my size 9 shoe is no problem there. Pretty happy with the change.

Very nice ! I've known a couple fellows that used to tour fully loaded on a cross check and they seemed very happy with their choice.
