Thought I'd finally register with the forum after a few years of occasional lurking to find answers. I've found it such a great source of information - even better than my LBS's sometimes. Thanks so much!
50's in age and have been biking regularly the last 10 years, but have ramped it up within the last year or so to become better at it.
I have 3 bikes:
2020 Bianchi Impulso Allroad GRX 810 2X, looking at a 2X mullet build options (46/30 with 11-40 or 11-42 on the back) for even lower gearing. Looking forward to discussions with others who have done this mod.
2018 Specialized Diverge E5 Elite, Used primarily as a road bike.... a bit of a Frankenstien mix of componets now, 10 spd, Tiagra 48/34 rings, 105 crank arm with powermeter, and Ultegra 8000 FD to fix tire clearance issues. Will gradually build out to 11 sp, new wheels.. etc
2012 Trek 7300, put plenty of miles on this comfortable 3X hybrid bike over the years and still ride it for casual rides. Has many limitations for upgrading (tires size, brakes...), so I might be looking at replacing some day.
I enjoy a mix or roads and gravel and like to ride about 100 miles per week. Mainly ride solo to enjoy the scenary instead of watching someone's wheel on a faster pace group ride.
Looking forward to being an official part of the forum!
