Stop crashing, Fudgy. Good luck with the twins.

I did 7x2' hill repeats at 35 degrees this evening, and it was awful. By the 5th I was nearly in 5' power territory. Rallied a bit for the last one, but I was rekt. The downhill 10 minute ride home was almost unbearable. Hopefully that means I did good.

+1. Cut that crashing crap. You'll soon be too sleep deprived to heal.

Short on time today, so went out an climbed my favorite little 60s hill. Basically, tied my best 60s power from a peak point in the season last year, but did it at about 4kg less weight. So, that's a plus.

You are a brave man if you are doing those repeats on the access road. I did that thing a weekend or two ago and I think I slid out my rear wheel going up it a few times. Serious repaving is needed.

Does anyone else find it sort of demoralizing that we are back to trainer-esque weather here? I am sort of losing my mind.

60' on the kickr with high cadence tempo intervals as a transition to the weekend races and the start of a new block next week.

2x15 sweet spot last night. After a few weeks of not good riding I finally got a good workout in.

Ideally I would have already started some higher intensity work by now, but my leg acting up pretty much all of March set me back a little.

Not exactly where I was planning to be at this point..but the season is only just starting and I have plenty of time.

I am doing them on the access road, and it is pretty bad. I have to pick my line carefully through some sections, which is annoying when you're trying to go all-out for two minutes.

And yeah, the return to trainer weather has been rough.

1:55 on the rollers with 6*4'. focused on repeatability. i think actually looking at my power numbers for the last minute really helped. power was relatively comparable to last week, however the intervals were all much closer to each other (between 295w and 310w).

thinking i might push this block out one more week so i can do a rest week before quabbin.

A couple of days last week I was using my non aero helmet because it was too hot out :-|

4-4.5 with 2x15 somewhere around 100% on flat ground and 1x15 ~100% climbing.

Last night I did our Tuesday Night Smackdown ride. All the fast boys came out; I was the only girl. ...lots of boys got chicked last night

There are two 20-23min hammer sections along a 15km stretch of quiet road. The main attack got us up to 35mph (and it was sustained). I held on most of the way the first pass, and was part of a group of two, then three, then four, then three, then two to the end. I set a tonne of new QOMs and nearly did an FTP test ^_^ I was 7w off my last, best FTP test. On the second section, I hung onto the front group the whole way, but the pace wasn't as high. Super proud of myself. I went wanting to hurt, and did. Looks like my fitness is getting sharper, right in time for Speed Week.

My coach had me do 10min at sweetspot before and 15min tempo after. Felt great for the 2hrs15min. 2hrs of endurance today.

Nice @canuckbelle. Beast mode.

I raced track last night. Got second in the first scratch, won the points, and like 5th or something in the final scratch. In the B+ it's just not fast enough and so I end up doing a lot of work trying to string it out. In the last race I just didn't have the oomph to win the sprint after so much attacking and riding the front.

Due to an increasingly annoying and ongoing commitment which seemingly won't end I don't forsee myself racing, and likely will have to continue with reduced volume. Should I just do sweet spot and vo2 intervals if I'm limiting myself to, say, 30-60mins a day? No real aim except not get horribly out of shape. I haven't been riding with any plan as of late, so some plan would be better than no plan.

3.5 hours this morning, took the long route to work up highway 1. Nice warm morning and great ocean views. Just wanted to enjoy riding a bit. Got in a 10 minute threshold climb and a 7 minute VO2 effort because I didn't know how long that 10% climb was!

Decided, in a moment of weakness, to play hooky today. Shouldn't actually be a big deal - original plan was 3x30 tempo, I'll just sub it in on Friday which was a rest/spin day originally. And I commuted, so it's not like I didn't ride today. But I feel a little guilty.

You can actually accomplish a lot if you are consistent and put some intent into your rides. Due to a move east from NorCal and a the demands of my new job, I've had to adjust my training a lot. I've had surprisingly good results from using TrainerRoad and my kicker for the vast majority of my workouts this winter. The weekday workouts are only 60-75 min for the most part with longer on the weekends yet I've managed to get my FTP back to pretty much where it was before my life took a left turn.
