26" Trek EX6 Full 2011- what size of a plus tire
I bought used Trek ex 6 2011 and I would like to put bigger (plus size) tires to it. What is the maximum for this bike? Can it fit 26x 2,5" ?

A true plus tire (2.8 and up) will rub the fork and rear stays. Rim width will also be a factor. If you want extra cush/float that wider tires offer, look into changing your rims to a minimum of 23mm ID and pair with 2.4 or 2.5 tires.

I'd be surprised if you could fit plus tires on that bike. The majority of bikes that accepted plus tires didn't hit the market until about 2015 and they were 27.5 x 2.8/3.0

Measure the tires on there now (with calipers) as well as how much clearance you have around the tires in the frame and fork.
What tires are on there now?

Maybe some really wide 24" but that will probably lower things too much if they even fit. You are probably not going to fit very wide tires on that bike and have any sort of clearance which is important on a mountain bike.

Parts that are on it:
- Rims - Bontrager at-850 disk 26"
- Fork - Rock shox recon
- Front tire - 26x2.25 57-559 ( around 7cm of measured free space in width for a tire )
- Back tire - 26x2.10 54-559 ( around 8 cm of measured free space in width for a tire)
Tires are almost smooth so I need to buy new ones. I can get some cheap 26x 2.35 or 26x 2.50 enduro tires but are they going to fit on the rims or I need wider rims?

It is measured space between left and right pipe of fork at the (probably) narrowest point without front wheel and space between pipes of rear swingarm (or how it is called) if the wheel was removed (I dont have caliper to measure it accurately)

A Recon should be able to clear a 2.5, and most FS frames from 2011 should be able to clear a 2.35.

Either tire will fit the rim. That isn't the problem. The problem is that the 2.5 wide tires may not fit on the bike. You have a small chance of a 2.5 tire fitting on the front, but a 2.5 tire will probably rub on the frame in the back.

"Should" and "most" are the operative words here.
Measure like I said before you buy.

I had bought one for test and I had fit 2,5 in front (I can not upload photos on forum). I still have 1cm to the top of the fork and 0,7 +0,7 on sides (and it does not touch the fork even when I try to bend it).I think I will buy second one and give it a try on the back.
