"SC" date code doesn't make sense in the Shimano system, but does if it was early enough to have been made by SunTour (March 1976).

My SunTour Winner cob was 17% shorter (and missing that low gear). Made the mistake of riding it with a 54 for the State Champs. Spent most of the race on my 44!

It's my understanding that Suntour manufactured the early Shimano freewheels to Shimano's specifications.

BTW, ThermionicScott may be right. This was probably made by SunTour. The prong detents loos like SunTour. The Shimano stents were smaller— at least in the 6200 group.
