I think the old saying goes something like "You know you have a problem when you expect to be congratulated for not buying a bike on the Bike Forum!" LOL I am right there with you except that most of my not bought bikes are not by my choice but usually just issues with the sellers ghosting, changing the deal after the fact or plain just not responding to my request to buy.

Very tempting...except that I "painted" my '73 Gitane's chainstay with clear coat nail coat, which isn't obvious, but seems to do the trick. $1.00 from the Dollar Store. Seems to work well. Then again, my original paint job/patina isn't exactly pristine.
