Tonnes of C&V stuff at my old buddy’s rural shop!!
Ok
first I was into bikes
then Vespa and Lambretta scooters.
I still am into scooters.
then Alfa Romeos.
The Dr said my tinnitus could be caused by high blood pressure. I was told to increase my cardio.
Back to bikes I went.
(The MEAT)
many shops turned to selling scooters along with bikes (lawnmowers too) to keep their doors open. I remember as a kid joining my dad as he got the mower blade sharpened and I would drool over the new bikes.
So, I’ve an older buddy who I’ve bought scooter stuff from. His shop has been closed for years, but I always have wine with me and he’ll open it up just for me and a glass. Its good to catch up.
Today, while picking up some 10” whitewall contis for my TV200, I noticed all the bikes.
the bikes
THE BIKES!!!!
he knows what things are worth. This isn’t a “grab all and screw the old man” kind of thing. But the two Italians at $2k might be of interest, plus all the tandems. So many tandems. So many arguments between couples. Arggggh.
I did see he has (also for $2k) a new in box Eddie in orange.
he makes no effort to market these, and he isn’t short of funds. But if you see the stead of your dreams, call me at (503) 267-2800 and I can put a deal together.

Not ever photo loaded
2x try
Rare Olympic tandem fixie by Schwinn
Shoes!! Most with slot cleats, some naked, ready to be nailed (nothing sexual about that)
Italian anodized gray tubular rims
There is a frame hiding behind Raleigh, Columbus and Clement hats
Paramount frame
Rare that this is set up like a commuter

Somewhat, Schwinn had a Tourist model up until about this time or a little before that had been in the lineup from very early on.
Can we have the S/N plz?
They were a bit lackluster but many regular Paramount's were set up this way as well when a customer wanted the best.
Especially from about this time period and forward, any Paramount could be ordered and or reconfigured any way the customer wanted, many, many variations can be found.
Nothing was off the table.
Here is one of mine that is believed to be at least as old as 46-7, women's version, repainted, decaled and upgraded in the 70's, many folks are not very fond of these but they are pretty cool none the less.

$2k for a NOS Eddy sounds like a very fair price. Probably cheaper than original counting inflation.

Nice. I still regret selling my TV200 a decade or so ago.
