Cost to install power tap
I've never had a wheel laced up before and looking at getting a power tap. Any rough idea of what an average cost might look like to have the hub installed on one of my wheels? Obviously spoke cost is in there but I haven't decided what spokes to use yet.
Im shopping around on Craigslist and eBay and there are plenty of hubs as well as pretty nice already built wheels so I'm trying to decide what's the best deal from what I'm seeing.

wheelbuilder said something like $90 for carbon rims and $70? for aluminum, for labor only.
a local guy near me will do it for $25 labor.

My LBS will do it for about $40/hr labor. It takes them about an hour to do a standard 3 cross lacing on a 32 spoke aluminum box rim and hub.

I charge $40/wheel for labor but I only do this on the side (as opposed to making a living on wheel building). Many pro wheel builders will charge more. Your best bet is to build a complete new wheel rather than use old parts.
