I'd say that given they are an "XYZ Champion" sort of thing (like yellow jerseys), the people who have honestly earned them are being paid to wear them. As for the ones in local bike shops, what is it with people wanting to wear reproduction sports stuff they didn't earn? I don't have a problem with someone wearing the same model (shape) shoe, but why the color pattern?
