Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

NJ Gravel was a huge hit 500 people came out to great conditions, got me a nice Mug ,a shirt and a good time .
I did the 28 mile ride and it beat the heck out of me. 90% dirt gravel roads really nice fast some steep short climbs that my bike was not geared for but overall a good race.
I never knew that there was so much unpaved beat up dirt roads in NJ..Good time nice location peaceful quiet good bunch of folks.

Rich people with lots of horses keep them unpaved for a reason. It is a lovely area to ride and play golf.

I manned aid station #3, about 60mi in. It was exceptionally hot, but almost all of the riders we saw were doing ok. I heard reports of some issues relating to riders getting turned around on the Columbia Trail and such, but overall it seemed like a pretty good time. We were supposed to be there from 11:30am until 2, but due to the heat and misdirected riders we didn't wind up leaving until after 4:30pm.
