Remove reflectors from wheel

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Remove reflectors from wheel

Is their a particular way to take the reflectors off my wheels. I tried using a screw driver but was not the correct size and did not want to bend a spoke.

Is their something else I should uses to get them off cause I really dont like the look of them.

Ride the bike instead of looking at it...

Or, go borrow a bigger screw driver???

Just push them up the spokes until they pop off. Please spell "there" properly too.

Just wanted to make sure I was not being dumb and taking them off the wrong way ha. Also for spelling it happens, I try and make an effort to proof read but never really do it.

prop your bike up on your work stand. Do some generic matinence on it, then to see how well you do, put the bike in the biggest chainring and the smallest sproket. Then crank the pedals as fast as you possibly can. When the wheel is doing a "simulated" 70 mph and you are cranking at about 200 rpm, the reflector will disintegrate. That's how I got mine off.....

Well those all seem like good ways to get them off, plasma torch I think just might do it ha.

I am just going to break them off I guess or find some fun way to break them. I also dont need them cause I dont ride at night and hate how they look.

I know gas prices are high but have screwdrivers become expensive items?

Having a younger brother that likes to take your tools and lose them, thats why I dont have the right screw driver. Need to get myself a new set at the store just have been to lazy to go by to pick them up. This should encourage me to get a new set.

Lay the wheel flat on the ground, place a brick under the reflector, smash it with a nice 16 oz ball pean hammer.

Rule of thumb: If you have to ask how to remove the reflectors or the dork disk you need them on your bike.

HA! Yep... Chuck G. posted perfect and simple instructions. But if you can't figure out how to get the reflectors off your wheels...best to leave them be.

OK..OK... The Op is a newb...with a new bike, so we should cut him some slack.

Phillips screwdriver to take the screws out. Then pry the white clips open. Repeat 'til they're all off.
