Landis is a bum. Lance does so much for the greater good with his cancer foundation. Landis just wants to bring him down. Misery loves company. The cancer foundation is much more important than this rehash of a bunch of crap. If Lance was guilty I am sure he would have been caught. It wasn't like he was liked by the folks doing all the testing.

Pathetic how Landis still won't come clean about how he tested positive for testosterone in 06, which means he's still lying. Somebody kill this guy.

Dear fellow bike forumer,

do you even know about the whole cancer foundation thing?
First of all, remember that anyone who makes TONNES of money HAS to set up a charity if they are smart about their money for tax reasons and deferments, so dont be fooled by all these celebrities and their charities.
Secondly did you know the difference between LIVESTRONG.com and LIVESTRONG.org?
I bet you dont know.
Read up on it. And come back for further discussion. Hint.... profit, profit, profit.
Ahhhh yes, ignorance has always been the tool of profiteering scoundrels.

You act as though you have discovered their evil plan to defraud everyone...

Right from the website:

LIVESTRONG.COM vs LIVESTRONG.ORG?
The Lance Armstrong Foundation will continue to support cancer survivorship and call on our nation's leaders to wage a new war against cancer through LIVESTRONG.ORG. LIVESTRONG.COM is a practical resource to find a wealth of health-related information from a wide range of sources, and is a proactive way to have a daily conversation about being healthy and living an active lifestyle.

While LIVESTRONG.ORG remains a nonprofit, LIVESTRONG.COM is a for-profit that derives its revenue from advertising and member subscriptions.

1. I'm convinced that all of the top guys are using the latest technology, chemicals and techniques.
2. If you are serious about winning, you have to be serious about using world class performance enhancements.
3. I'm OK with it.

I did notice the new relationship between Nascar and the tour on Versus. I think an investigation should be done into Cindy Sisson and tailwind sports influence on the UCI ability to keep the sport clean. Slowly but surely the lack off truth will turn into the lack of fans.

I'm not ok. First off it's dangerous and people have died. People who risk their lives with this stuff are taking a gamble. I don't feel I should have to gamble to be competitive.

Ironic for Howzit, an admitted convicted doper (although not admitting to the doping itself), to weigh in on doping threads...

I have a question; how widely is it believed that there is a connection between Lance's doping (specifically testosterone use) and his testicular cancer. I've only ever heard whispers about this presumably because its considered to be not a nice thing to voice in public. Just curious is all....

I don't know Howzit and I don't know Lance, but . . . yes, Lance is making huge dollars through his for-profit entities. Doing lots for cancer awareness and, yes, making a very lucrative living at it. A lot of people won't begrudge him that.

Grow up, folks. Al Gore has cleared over a hundred million dollars these last ten years promoting "awareness" of global warming. There is big money in "causes" nowadays. And if you've got the right "cause", nobody will question any of it.

Lance and Al aren't the only ones -- they may be the most extreme examples, though.

Why is it that because somebody makes a lot of money (more than you) or become successful at something (higher level than you) we feel the need to completely punish them? Occasionally for deserving things, most of the time for nothing, but this attitude completely explains the tax structure in this country.

While many celebrities or people of vast wealth may utilize the charity system in this country as a tax escape and a positive public image, what you can not take away is the extreme amount of time somebody might put into running that organization. Ask anybody with over a million dollars (which is nothing really in today's standards) and they will all say nothing is more valuable than time. In this case, nothing is more important than life, all else is secondary.

Say what you will about people you don't know, and blame already proven humans for the worlds or the sports problems/issues, but I believe that the real problem lays in the attitude of the people involved. That's what got us all here. If people OK with it then do it, but don't start crying cheater when that person with the same available advantages and most likely used advantages starts kicking your but all over the place.

The evolution of entertainment and marketing far outweighs the evolution of any sport.

so i was drinking beer with a guy who rode for US POSTAL, he said Lance doped. no reason not to believe him, he isn't going public or writing a book or doing the talk show circuit. he was there, it was a fact of life, and that was that. no big scandal, no sensationalism. Lance doped, ullrich doped, anyone on the podium (and many off) doped.

Ought to be easy enough to get a yes or no. I hate it when people claim to be someone but wont back it up.

Howzit - Scan your drivers license and then edit the picture to block out the number and your address. hell everything except your name a picture would work. Otherwise go away immediately

Sean,

I've thought this for some time but I don't think that it's something thats actually been discussed anywhere publicly. But with that said, if his cancer was caused by HGH and Test, then why would he use it later to cheat when he knows he's predisposed to Cancer?

Just my $.02

Lance isn't doping now...but I'm sure he was. The problem is there is no hard proof. its all going to be hearsay and people's word vs. his word. unless they have him on video tape doing it or pictures of him doing it. Even documentation is sketchy. If you dont catch someone in the act its pretty hard to prove they are guilty.
I push the documentary in every thread like this. if you have reservations about people doping. watch Bigger Stronger Faster by Chris Bell.

Name your favorite athlete of all time. chances are, if he was any good, he doped and everyone who was his competition doped also. (meaning any type of drug to enhance his performance)

Armstrong is in deep sh--. Federal charges. Fraud? Tampering? Pressuring other riders to dope? I hope he lands in jail for a long, long time. He should've owned up to the positive 1999 EPO tests when he had a chance.
