gran compe lever barrel adjuster swap?
I have a set of gran compe levers like the ones on the right. I don't like how the brake cables just go all floppy jalopy out the tops, so i would like to retrofit the barrel adjuster from the gran compe lever on the left. Is this possible? Do you just have to thread the housings or are they radically different?

I don’t think that is going to work for you without a bit of machining on the top of the lever housing. I have those same brake levers on my 84 Supersport, and the cables flopped around when I used those ill fitting Cane Creek hoods, as you have. Get some proper fitting Dia Compe hoods and you won’t have that issue. Velo Orange, among others, have the Dia Compe hoods, they are 15 bucks.

Happy to be corrected if I am wrong but...........
I think those levers are exactly the same . ( apart from aerated blade )
They should both have the cable adjusters as shown on the left one .
If the cables are flopping about there is something missing .
The GC lever bodies I have here are not threaded . They have a separate piece in the lever the thread screws in to .
Also note the wee tag that stops the lower body rotating in lever.
Just my two cents worth
