Tour de France Torrents?
Does any one here have plans, or know of someone who is planning, to post the day's coverage of the TDF on the internet to download bia BitTorent or similar format?
I've been searching the 'net and haven't had much luck. I had to get rid of OLN (digital cable vs. tuition) so after finally being able to watch live coverage last year, I know I'll be suffering from withdrawl this year.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I remember seeing torrents last year on suprnova.org.
But they don't exist anymore.
I'd think https://www.torrentspy.com/ would have them.
I would have pointed you towards btefnet.net, but they seem to have disappeared too. Stupid MPAA.

Baxtefer,
Thanks for the heads up. I've been using TorrentSpy for most of my downloads, so hopefully they'll be there come July.

I'm so new at this... but my friend in Sweden sent me a link and I got my program up and running just in time to watch the Tour de Suisse. Now all I have to do is find a place to watch it and I'm gold!

OLN should offer streaming tour coverage for a fee. I'd rather spend $20 on that, than a months worth of cable for $40/50

I watched the 2005 Giro live here:
https://www.gazzetta.it/
The actual page was this: (Sorry, not that it will help now)
https://www.gazzetta.it/Speciali/Giro...ta/wmDSL.shtml
I'm hoping they will also broadcast the Tour live.
Steve.

Maybe everyone already knows this, but https://cycling.tv/ provides video coverage of cycling events too.

The only problem I've had with cycling.tv is that they don't have much new content. I've been watching 2 or 3 months and have seen KBK and Cyclocross World Cup or whatever a million times. Every now and then I'll catch something new, but otherwise it is always the same. Hopefully as the Tour approaches, things will improve.

Yeah, that's true. You can easily watch their whole free catalog. I check back every couple of weeks or so and usually find something new though.

When it starts, you'll get torrents there. Last year some guy was ripping it from OLN and posting 700mb divx's of each stage. Granted the quality was piss poor (people need to learn how to properly do it) but at least I got to see it.

What really kills you is the time to edit commercials and compress... I'm capturing (BeyondTV, PVR-250), auto-editing commercials (VideoRedo, using BeyondTV's commercial detection) and burning MPEG-2 (1GB/hour) to DVD+RW for people here at work. Just that's a pain but it's managable.
I can't see then further tying up my PC every night fro 3 weeks for the encoding to DivX.

i'd just settle for hardware recording "low quality" mpeg 2, with auto commercial skipping, saves time, space, and gets the idea across, if people really want a perfect picture then pay for cable , otherwise there would be a day or two delay between recording and uploading the recorded stage.

I'm looking for a NTSC to DV converter.
I receive the french TV5 channel. they broadcast around 3-4 hours live non stop with no commercials. It really sucks when they come back from commercials and "there was just a crash and there's a break in the peloton".
My idea is to record the video from the french channel, and the audio from phil and paul as an extra audio track.
If I can get the converter I'll be posting torrents daily
